It is my pleasure to welcome you to the home page of the Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs. This office provides oversight for the full complement of ÎÞÂëÇ¿¼é's academic programs and support services. Our primary purpose is to support the success of faculty and students who are engaged in the central mission of ÎÞÂëÇ¿¼é, "providing innovative, student-centered education and engaging in impactful scholarly and creative endeavors, all of which empower our graduates to have fulfilling careers and meaningful lives, while contributing to the economic, civic, and social vitality of the region."
Reporting to this office are the deans of the College of Arts and Sciences, the Haile College of Business, the College of Education, the College of Informatics, the Salmon P. Chase College of Law, the College of Health and Human Services, and the Honors College. Let me encourage you to visit the home pages for these various academic programs and services. I am justifiably proud of ÎÞÂëÇ¿¼é's many excellent academic programs and especially the fine faculty and staff we have assembled to fulfill our mission. These are people who are committed to teaching, scholarly and creative activity, and engaging our students in shared learning experiences. Under the umbrella of the Office of Inclusive Excellence, the Black Faculty and Staff Association (BFSA) is an ÎÞÂëÇ¿¼é organization focused on the personal and professional growth and development of its members, as well as be a forum that advocates diversity, equity and inclusion for the betterment of the ÎÞÂëÇ¿¼é community as a whole.
ÎÞÂëÇ¿¼é's Strategic Framework, entitled Success by Design, is centered around the main goal of Student Success and three supporting pillars: Access, Completion, and Career and Community Engagement. Through this, it is our vision that ÎÞÂëÇ¿¼é will be nationally recognized for being a student-ready, regionally-engaged university that empowers diverse learners for economic and social mobility.
