Career: Project Manager in the Pharmaceutical Manufacturing industry

“The most helpful classes that I took in college that have aided me in my career advancement are: Research Methods and Statistical Analysis.â€

What they do: I manage Clinical Research Projects (studies) from beginning to end, for big name sponsors that are seeking FDA approval for new drugs and/or therapeutic treatments. Some of my tasks include; Managing program budget (Forecasting, Invoicing, etc.), deciding on the best strategies for enrollment/retention efforts, managing large teams within North America and Europe, Holding meetings with clients on a weekly cadence to report on program metrics, etc.

Necessary job skills: Self-confidence, ability to multitask, ability to lead large teams and delegate responsibilities, social awareness, math skills, and a thorough understanding of the Clinical Research process from start to finish
