Department: History

History today is about more than what you know; it’s what you can do. And we do things that matter.

We figure out why people think, act, and remember the way they do. We question what we’ve been told about the past and why they told us. We find hidden patterns, connect historical dots, analyze long-lost sources and artifacts, research what others have missed, and tell stories that persuade people.

You’ll work closely with expert faculty to create a curriculum tailored to your individual interests and goals. You’ll learn skills that employers want. You’ll engage in independent research, study abroad programs, internships, and other real-world experiences that do more than earn class credit…they prepare you for life.
