WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

The online Health Science Program provides the student an opportunity to gain well-rounded, multidisciplinary holistic health care knowledge. Two program tracks are available to meet the needs of students with various backgrounds and goals. Graduates from each track have a strong understanding of the health care system and the diverse population it serves.

CAREER PATHS

A health science degree prepares students to work in the complex health care industry. Depending on their track, professional and educational background, graduates often find themselves in positions such as:

  • Healthcare management/leadership
  • Pharmaceutical or medical sales
  • Education at universities or within healthcare organizations
  • Advanced professional practice
  • Patient information management
  • Health information system training and sales
  • Community health, literacy and patient advocacy liaison
  • Health promotion and wellness associates

The health science degree can also be used as a stepping stone to a graduate program.
