CState2ÎÞÂëÇ¿¼é is a dual-admissions partnership between Cincinnati State Technical and Community College and ÎÞÂëÇ¿¼é. This site is provided for transfer assistance for students working toward the completion of an associate degree planning to transfer from Cincinnati State Technical and Community College to ÎÞÂëÇ¿¼é.  The information provided on this website does not take the place of an advisor or counselor on your campus.

PATHWAYS TO DEGREE COMPLETION


The pathway guides are advising tools designed to help community college students plan for transferring to ÎÞÂëÇ¿¼é to complete their baccalaureate degree. The pathway guides also constitute an agreement between community colleges and universities confirming that community college courses meet major preparation requirements.

Program Benefits and Requirements

Benefits

  • Assigned academic advisors at both ÎÞÂëÇ¿¼é and Cincinnati State
  • Access to ÎÞÂëÇ¿¼é events and facilities (e.g., sporting events, Rec Center)
  • Up to four ÎÞÂëÇ¿¼é classes at the Cincinnati State tuition rate
  • Transfer Coordinator to assist in transitioning
  • Access to ÎÞÂëÇ¿¼é resources (e.g., Library, Tutoring)
  • Students can park on ÎÞÂëÇ¿¼é's campus at a reduced rate
  • Students can apply to live in ÎÞÂëÇ¿¼é residence halls (subject to availability, additional fees apply)
  • Students in the pathway program who complete an associate degree may be granted the Reciprocity Tuition Rate upon transfer to ÎÞÂëÇ¿¼é (Note: Some programs excluded; applies to residents of Adams, Brown, Butler, Clermont, Clinton, Fayette, Hamilton, Highland, and Warren Counties)

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in at least 6 credit hours at Cincinnati State
  • Enrolled in an Associate degree program
  • Plan to transfer to ÎÞÂëÇ¿¼é
  • Maintain a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA at Cincinnati State
  • Must have at least 15 earned and in-progress credit hours to be eligible to take your first course at ÎÞÂëÇ¿¼é through the CState2ÎÞÂëÇ¿¼é program

How to Apply to the Pathway Program

The CState2ÎÞÂëÇ¿¼é Program has a simple application. Please read the instructions on applying first. If you are not yet enrolled at Cincinnati State, apply for admission to CSTCC and enroll in an Associate degree plan.

Once you are admitted to Cincinnati State, just fill out the . Note: You will need to maintain at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA throughout the program.

Ready to Transfer?

When the time comes for you to transfer to ÎÞÂëÇ¿¼é from Cincinnati State, there are a few steps that need to be completed. Please use this checklist to ensure all steps are completed in order to facilitate a smooth transfer.

  • Complete the . (The application fee will be waived.)
  • Make sure ÎÞÂëÇ¿¼é is on your FAFSA if you receive Financial Aid. The ÎÞÂëÇ¿¼é school code is 009275. Do this as early as possible!

Once admitted, the following items should be taken care of, if applicable:

  • Apply for all other scholarships using the . 
  • If you are currently in TRiO-Student Support Services at Cincinnati State, apply now to join  for the upcoming term.
  • Sign up for  (The orientation fee will be waived.)
  • Meet with your academic advisor to schedule your classes.
