Our classes are designed to enrich your college experience and help you pursue your passions. We offer small class sizes (typically 18 or fewer per class), which are taught in a discussion-style so that students get to know their peers and faculty instructors. Our classroom environment encourages collaboration among students, promotes leadership skills through hands-on learning, and challenges students to explore new ideas and ways of doing things.

The First Year Experience includes two courses: Honors 101 (HNR 101) and Honors 102 (HNR 102). These courses help you develop fundamental research and information literacy skills by having you explore your own areas of interests, and then conducting research into those areas that connects the classroom experience to local, regional, or broader real-world needs. The purpose of your seminar experience is to help you explore your own passions and relate them to your class experiences.
