Newsletter Submission Guidelines
If your office provides programs or services for ÎÞÂëÇ¿¼é parents of if you have information from your office that you feel parents would find beneficial, submit your events or articles to the Family Association eNewsletter.
To have your information included, please follow the following submission guidelines:
- Follow the submission deadlines
- Due August 1 for August 15 newsletter
- Due September 4 for September 12 newsletter
- Due October 1 for October 15 newsletter
- Due October 31 for November 14 newsletter
- Due January 5 for January 15 newsletter
- Due February 2 for February 16 newsletter
- Due March 2 for March 16 newsletter
- Due April 1 for April 15 newsletter
- Submit in a Microsoft Word or e-mail format in plain text.
- Send submissions to parents@nku.edu
- DO include dates of special events or deadlines, articles and/or tips (All of this can be used in the newsletter).
- DO cite your sources.
- DO include contact information (This may be published).
- DO include actual pictures of events with photographer name, if possible. (You must indicate that you have a right to publish submitted pictures. Contact Marketing/Communications if you are unsure.)
- DO look at archives for samples.
- Do NOT include just a list of events. This publication is in a newsletter format with quarter, half and full length articles.
NOTE: We reserve the right to edit content to fit into available spaces. However, we will never change your text in a way that will affect the context of your submission.
